So what is the TSL protocol and how does it work?

Two terms to understand:

Protocol = a set of rules that computers follow when they communicate with each other.

TSL = Transport Security Layer

TSL is an encrypted protocol that protects your data communication when sent through the internet. Imagine you and your friend want to share a secret message in a letter. But a lot of people are trying to peek into your letter while it gets to your friend. How can you make sure your letter is safe while it travels?

Well, that’s where the TSL protocol comes in. Here’s how it works:

Secret Code: You and your friend need to agree on a secret code that only you two know. This code works as the only special key that allows you to unlock and read the letter.

Putting your message in a locked envelope: Once you both have agreed on a secret code, you put the letter inside a magical envelope. This envelope has a special lock that only you and your friend can open with your secret code.

Sending: When sending the envelope, it travels through the air over the internet, and even if someone…
